Rasmus Dahlin had a goal and two assists as the visiting Buffalo Sabres defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on Sunday.
Jeff Skinner and Erik Johnson also scored for the Sabres, who ended a three-game losing streak. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 24 saves.
Philipp Kurashev had a goal and an assist, Taylor Raddysh also scored, and Petr Mrazek made 17 saves for the Blackhawks, who have dropped four straight.
Dahlin gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead at 4:53 of the first period. Shortly after he set up Zach Benson for a chance in front, the rookie repaid the favor.
Benson corralled a touch pass from Casey Mittelstadt at the blue line and maintained possession in the right circle and along the wall before feeding Dahlin high in the zone. The defenseman then skated to the outer top edge of the circle for a shot that beat Mrazek stick side.
Raddysh tied it 1-1 just moments after a Chicago power play expired early in the second period. Kurashev took a pass from behind the net to the right circle and sent it to Raddysh streaking by the front of the crease for the deflection at 3:28.
Skinner put the Sabres ahead 2-1 on the power play at 10:55. Uncovered as he emerged from behind the net, he took a pass at the goal line from Dahlin and turned toward the net before sending it into the far side of the net before Mrazek could get back into position. It was Skinner's eighth goal of the season.
Kurashev was in the right place at the right time to tie it 2-2 at 17:28. Connor Bedard carried the puck in from the red line to just above the right circle for a shot that Luukkonen stopped with his right pad. But the rebound hit the skate of Sabres defenseman Mattias Samuelsson as it bounced to the left circle for Kurashev.
Johnson skated down the left side and around Chicago defenseman Seth Jones before sending a chip shot high from the bottom of the circle over Mrazek to make it 3-2 Buffalo at 10:36 of the third period.
